Bhubaneswar: The samples of 25 staff of Kar Clinic in Bhubaneswar have tested negative for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
The third COVID-19 patient in Odisha had gone to this nursing home at Unit IV for a health check-up after returning from New Delhi. The 60-year-old banker, who tested positive for the killer virus on March 26, was also admitted to the ICU of the nursing home with pneumonia-like symptoms for a day on March 24.
The state government had then exhorted people not to visit Kar Clinic in view of the contact history of the latest patient. However, it was later sanitised and allowed to provide emergency continuum care such as dialysis.
“However, the care providers who had come in contact with the 3rd COVID-19 positive case need to be on isolation and SoP issued by DHS be followed,” the Health and Family Welfare Department had tweeted.
The test results of managing director of Kar Clinic Dr Siddhant Kar were earlier found to be negative.
