Bhawanipatna: Twentyfive passengers were rescued after they got stranded in the Indravati reservoir in Odisha’s Kalahandi district on Friday as the boat carrying them developed a technical snag, reports said.
Villagers from Upper Gunjamali, Lower Gunjamali and Podapadar in Thuamul Rampur block in the district were on their way to Lamataguda Bazaar in a boat. The passengers were to get down at Baria ghat but after travelling about five km, the boat developed faced a breakdown. The boat ambulance service swung into action and rescued the stranded passengers after getting a call.
