Malkangiri: Police on Friday seized 254 kg of ganja from Balimela Square in Malkangiri district and nabbed two persons for smuggling the contraband.
Basing on specific information, a police team conducted raids at Balimela and managed to nab the smugglers with the contraband.
“The seized substance is valued at Rs 6 lakh. The duo used to sell ganja to customers in Chhattisgarh and other parts of the state. However, further investigation is on and those arrested are being questioned,” a police officer said.
