Cuttack: As many as 257 new COVID-19 positive cases were reported from the city on Thursday.
The new cases included 81 from institutional quarantine centres including 3 COVID Warriors and 45 from home quarantine while 131 were local contacts, according to Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC).
Of the home quarantine cases, 7 were from Badambadi and 4 from Jhanjhirmangala. Similarly, those affected by local contacts included 13 from Nayabazar, 9 from College Chhak and 6 each from Chauliaganj and Mangalabag.
With the day’s figure, the total COVID-19 positive cases have gone up to 8720 in the city. While 6400 patients have recovered, 36 have succumbed to the disease. The city now has 2284 active cases.
