Jeypore: A group of 26 bonded labourers hailing from Koraput district of Odisha are allegedly being held captive in Tamil Nadu.
The labourers belonging to Bakatiguda, Sindhikata and Dangaraguda had gone to Tamilnadu to work in a brick kiln.
They alleged that the owner of the brick kiln did not give them remuneration. He also did not allow them to talk with their family members over the phone.
The family members of the labourers informed about the matter to the Labour Officer and the police.
The district administration said that a team will go to Tamil Nadu to rescue the labourers.
