Keonjhar: Twenty-six girl students of Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya (OAV) at Oriya village under Telkoi block in Odisha’s Keonjhar district were admitted to Telkoi Medical College and Hospital on Monday.
According to reports, the students fell ill and complained of vomiting and uneasiness after having pakhala (fermented rice) and pea curry in breakfast. While eight were administered saline, others received first aid.
“Those who had pakhala fell ill. We are constantly monitoring food quality. The condition of the affected students is stable, and they will be discharged after some time,” hostel warden Malli Mahanata to TOI.
