Bhubaneswar: Hours after announcement of the first phase list of BJD candidates for the first and second phase of Lok Sabha and Assembly polls in Odisha, the Congress came up with its list of 42 candidates. In a late night development, AICC general secretary Mukul Wasnik issued a release in New Delhi on Monday.
The party announced the name of 36 candidates for Assembly seats and 6 for Lok Sabha seats. The party has fielded new candidates for 4 Lok Sabha and 23 Assembly seats.
However, the party is yet to announce names of candidates for 9 Assembly seats and the Koraput Lok Sabha seat, polling for which is scheduled on April 11.
