29 Kalyan/Marriage Mandaps In Bhubaneswar To Be Sealed

Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Thursday declared 29 Kalyan Mandaps and Marriage Mandaps under the jurisdiction of North Zone as illegal and unauthorised.

It has further directed the joint enforcement team of BMC and Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) to seal these mandaps, allegedly functioning without licence, holding tax, proper building plan and waste management procedure. These also created traffic congestion.

These mandaps would be sealed on a date fixed by the authorities, the notification said.

The teams will move with local police personnel to the spot and seal the mandaps while giving zimanama to the owners, it added.

Here’s the list of the 29 mandaps to be sealed:

1. Suryamukhi: Chandaka Industrial Estate
2. Madhab Resorts: Chandaka Industrial Estate
3. Black Forest: Patia
4. Sakhya Convention: Chandrasekharpur
5. Maa Bimala Mandap: Mancheswar Industrial Estate
6. Rajarani Mandap: Pandara
7. Maa Tarini Mandap: Pandara
8. Kochilei Mandap: GGP Colony (Canal Road)
9. Rishi Resorts: Patia
10. Lal Lawns: Patia
11. KR Garden: Chandaka Industrial Estate
12. Dolphin Garden: Patia
13. Crystal Convention: Chandaka Industrial Estate
14. Aangan Convention: Patia
15. RJ Lawns: Patia
16. Silicon Value: Chandaka Industrial Estate
17. B-10: Patia
18. Maa Durga Mandap: Mancheswar Industrial Estate
19. Asirbad Mandap: Mancheswar Industrial Estate
