Balangir: Three persons have been arrested for allegedly looting cash and other valuables from a medicine store at Kantabanji in Odisha’s Balangir district three days ago.
The accused persone have been identified as Subodh Sunani, Bighna Kuanr and Hemant Seth of Ledapadar village. Police have recovered some cash from their possession.
Sources said the accused persons had cut open the shutter of the medicine store located on road No. 4 in Kantabanji and looted huge cash on June 11 night.
The robbery took place after the owner of the chemist shop closed the store and left for home.
The shop owner lodged a complaint the next morning based on which the police launched an investigation. While three persons have been arrested in connection with the robbery, further investigation is underway to ascertain if others are involved in the crime, police said.
