Bhawanipatna: Three youths were killed after the motorcycle in which they were returning after a cricket match was hit by a speeding truck on National Highway No. 25 near Pastikudi in Odisha’s Kalahandi district on Sunday.
According to reports, the three were returning home in a motorcycle after playing a cricket match at nearby Utkela when the truck dashed against their two-wheeler.
The deceased were stated to be from Rakabahali village in the area. Further details are awaited.
Tension prevailed in the area soon after the incident as locals staged a road blockade demanding adequate compensation to the families of the deceased and stringent action against the driver of the truck.
