3 Books Of Odisha’s Prof Fakira Mohan Nahak Released in Chandigarh University

Bhubaneswar: Three books of Prof Fakira Mohan Nahak, HOD, University Institute of Media Studies, Chandigarh University, Mohali, Punjab were released on the occasion of the Teacher’s Day celebration in the university campus.

Prof Anurag Varma, Executive Director, Liberal Arts & Humanities, released the book “Sports Journalism”, which is co-edited by Prof Nahak and Prof Kamaljeet Kaur. Having 18 chapters, it is published by Malik and Sons publishers & Distributors, New Delhi.

Prof Trishu Sharma, Prof Ashita Chadha, Prof Col. Toor, Prof Ashima Banker were present in the book launching ceremony.

Along with this, two other Odia short story collections, “Snehalatar Shesha Chithhi” and “Andh Sharaddha” of Prof Nahak were also launched on the occasion.

Several teachers were honoured with various awards for their contribution to the field of teaching and education. Prof Nahak, a journalist, columnist and media academician, was honoured with Special Appreciation Award on the occasion.

The function was attended by more than 250 teachers from different departments. Prof Trishu Sharma coordinated the function.
