Kendrapada: Three branch post masters have been dismissed from service for allegedly securing the jobs by furnising fake educational certificates in Odisha’s Kendrapada district.
The three who faced termination were identified as Prassana Kumar Sethi, Soumya Ranjan Sethi and Mamashree Bharati, all from Bhadrak district of the state, sources said.
It was alleged that the three had secured the job of branch post master by submitting fake certificates issued by the boards of outside states. One of them had been working with the department for the last two years, while the other two had joined six months ago.
After the fake certificate racket rocked the state, the three had stopped reporting for duty, according to postal superintendent of Kendrapada division, Debraj Sethi.
The services of the three branch post masters were terminated after the certificates submitted by them were found to be fake during scrutiny and verification. Further verification of certificates of others is underway.
