Bhubaneswar: The daily COVID caseload remained below 50 for the third consecutive day on Monday as 43 more people tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
The state had reported 48 and 43 new cases on March 27 and 26 respectively after 55 were found infected on March 25.
According to the I & PR department, 25 of the new infections are from quarantine and 18 local contacts. Five among them are children in the age group of 0-18 years. While the highest of 10 people have been found infected in Khurda districts, no new cases have been detected in 19 districts of the state.

With these cases being detected from 43,796 samples, the test positivity rate stood at 0.098 per cent.
Odisha now has 419 active cases and three districts – Keonjhar, Kalahandi and Puri – are free from COVID-19.
