Bhubaneswar: Three players from Odisha have made the Indian junior men’s hockey squad that will compete in the 11th Sultan of Johor Cup later this month in Malaysia.
They are – defenders Amandeep Lakra and Sunil Jojo, and midfielder Sunit Lakra.
Uttam Singh will lead the team and Rajinder Singh will be his deputy in the tournament to be held held in Johor Bahru from October 27 to November 4.
India have been placed in Pool B along with Malaysia, Pakistan and New Zealand. Pool A comprises Germany, Australia, South Africa and Great Britain.
The top two from each group will qualify for the semifinals.

Defenders: Amandeep Lakra, Rohit, Sunil Jojo, Sukhvinder, Amir Ali, Yogember Rawat
