Bhubaneswar: In a joint raid, the special squad of Commissionerate
Police and Sahid Nagar police arrested three ganja smugglers from
Sahid Nagar area here on Thursday night.
One Basudev Parida, a resident of Jamusahi under Balugaon police
limits in Khurda district, is among those arrested.
The police seized 40 kg ganja, two cars (a Swift and one Maruti
Baleno), a revolver and Rs 70, 000 in cash from them.
The accused used to bring the banned substance from Phulbani and
smuggle the same to Bhubaneswar, Puri and Khurda, police sources
informed.
