Bhubaneswar: Bringing glory to Odisha, three little girls from the state performed impressively at an international beauty pageant in Dubai.
Sribali Das, Lavanya Das and KR Santoshini represented India in the Junior Model International, 2019, which was held in Dubai from October 14 to 19.
Lavanya bagged the Miss Teen Junior Model International title.
A Class X student of DAV Unit 8, Bhubaneswar, she was also the winner the ‘pre-teens’ category (age 11-13) of the 2017 Junior Model International.
Lavanya, who aims to become a civil servant, has bigger dreams of participating in pageants like Miss World and Miss Universe in future.
Sribali, a Class IV student of the same school, was adjudged runners up award in the Princess category during the event and Santoshini, the second runners up.
Sribali has been modelling since she was seven. She had earlier won Little Miss Odisha International 2018 title. She is a singer and has anchored shows as well.
The three were selected through Odisha Fashion Villa in Junior Top Model contest organised in the Odisha capital. They then participated in a national level contest organised in Kerala. After winning the contest in Kerala, they traveled to participate in the international contest.
More than 110 junior models participated in the Junior Model International contest.
