Bhubaneswar: Three fraudsters have been arrested by the Commissionerate Police for allegedly duping job aspirants of lakhs of rupees through fake ‘Mo School Abhiyan’ website.
The three arrested persons have been identified as Amar Samal, Madan Naag and Raigulu Patra, according to ACP (Zone 5) Gautam Kisan.
The arrest was made from Bharatpur area of Bhubaneswar following a complaint lodged by Odisha’s Mo School with the Cyber Police about the fraud.
A racket was active wherein the accused had opened a fake website of Odisha government’s ‘Mo School’. By posing as the officials of Mo School they were duping people through this website of lakhs of rupees.
As many as 60 job aspirants had fallen victim to this racket who got trapped with the fake website believing it to be a genuine website.
Police seized Rs 2 lakh cash, two laptops, a desk top computer, and 13 mobile phones besides bank account cheque book, ATM card and fake rubber stamp from the accused persons.
