Angul/Keonjhar: Three persons, including driver of a bus, died in two separate accidents in Odisha on Tuesday morning.
In Angul, a bus en route to Puri from Korba in Chhattisgarh crashed into a dumper truck parked along NH-55 near Jarapada Square early this morning. While the driver died on the spot, around 20 passengers sustained injuries. The injured were rescued by fire brigade teams and taken to the district headquarters hospital in Angul. Condition of five among them is stated to be critical.
Two persons died while another was critically injured on NH-20 near Dhrupada in Keonjhar district when the motorcycle which they were riding was hit by the truck. The deceased have been identified as Lalmohan Behera and Tapas Nayak. Another person, identified as Bapi Behera, sustained critical injuries in the accident and was admitted to the district headquarters hospital.
The collision was so severe that the motorcycle caught fire and was completely damaged.
