Balasore: The officials of Regional Transport Office (RTO) in Balasore on Wednesday slapped a fine of Rs 92,000 on transporters of three inter-state buses of West Bengal.
Acting on a tip-off that three buses from the neighbouring state are on the way to Balasore through the non-permitted routes, the RTO officials detained the buses at Udayapur and Ambiliatha and collected a fine of Rs 92,000.
It may be mentioned that in view of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Odisha government has banned movement of inter-state buses.
