Baripada: Three persons died and 11 were critically injured when a pick-up van in which they were travelling overturned at Udala in Mayurbhanj district on Sunday morning.
The deceased were identified as Lakshmi Singh, Ratna Singh and Hania Nayak.
Fire personnel and police reached the spot and sent the injured persons to Udala sub-divisional hospital in an ambulance.
The accident took place around 10 am near Damasahi Chhak when the ill-fated vehicle, carrying 14 labourers, was heading towards Udala village from Agaria. Police attributed it to possible over-speeding.
