3 Killed, 2 Injured In Road Mishap In Balasore

Balasore: At least three persons were killed while two others sustained grievous injuries in a road accident near Rupsa police station on National Highway-16 in Balasore district on Saturday.

The injured were rescued by locals and rushed to the district headquarters hospital. The front portion of the car has completely been damaged in the accident

The incident took place around 2:30 pm when the car carrying five persons dashed against a bridge after its driver Rana Singh lost control over the wheels.

The mishap occurred when the vehicle was on its way to Puri from Deulghata of West Bengal.

The deceased have been identified as Sreya Sinha (35), Jayanti Sengupta (55) and Kashinath Sengupta (65). Husband of Sreya Sinha, Rana Singh (40) and another Abhiram Sengupta have been injured.

According to the eyewitnesses, the driver of the vehicle lost control of the wheels due to over speeding.
