Keonjhar: Three persons died while five others sustained critical injuries after a pickup van collided head-on with an autorickshaw at Basantpur Chhak under Pandapada police limits in Odisha’s Keonjhar district on Saturday morning.
According to sources, the auto, carrying eight passengers, was en route to Keonjhar when a speeding pickup van crashed into it from the opposite direction at a turning. The impact of the collision was such that some passengers were thrown off the vehicle and three among them died on spot. Two had to be rescued from the mangled remains of the vehicle and their condition is stated to be critical.
