Nabarangpur: Three persons were killed in a collision between a motorcycle and a pick-up van in Odisha’s Nabarangpur on Monday.
As per reports, four persons, including a woman and a 4-year-old child, were going on the bike to Motigaon under Umerkote block in the afternoon. A pick-up van coming from the opposite direction hit the motorcycle near Bakadabedha village under Umerkote police limits.
The three adults died on the spot while the child sustained critical injuries in the accident. The locals rushed the injured child to a nearby hospital. The child’s condition was stated to be critical.
While the identity of the deceased persons has not been ascertained, the locals said none of them was wearing helmet when the mishap took place.
On being informed, a team from Umerkote police station went to the spot and launched investigation.
