Keonjhar: Three persons including a woman going on a motorcycle were killed as a truck hit them in Keonjhar district of Odisha on Friday.
As per reports, the accident took place when the three persons, all belonging to Baragadia of Jajpur district, were going to Keonjhar on National Highway 20.
As they reached Barigaon village under Ghasipura police limits in Keonjhar in the afternoon, an iron rod-laden truck coming from opposite direction collided with the bike.
All the three persons died on the spot. The two deceased men were identified as Prabhudutta Biswal and Bibhudutta Biswal of Baragadia. The identity of the deceased woman has not been ascertained.
On being informed, a police team from Ghasipura went to the spot and sent the bodies for post-mortem. They have launched a manhunt to trace the truck driver who is absconding. Further investigating into the matter is on.
