3 LeT Terrorists Killed In Shopian, Security Forces Announce Rs 20L For Info On Pahalgam Attackers

Srinagar: At least three Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists were killed in encounter with Indian Army in the Zinpather Keller area of Shopian in South Kashmir on Tuesday.

Two among them have been identified as Shahid Ahmed Kuttay and Adnan Shafi of LeT/TRF.

There was an exchange of fire between security agencies and three trapped terrorists following an intelligence input. “On 13 May 2025, based on specific intelligence of a Rashtriyas Rifles Unit, about presence of terrorists in general area Shoekal Keller, Shopian, Indian Army launched a search and destroy Operation. During the operation, terrorists opened heavy fire and fierce firefight ensued, which resulted in elimination of three hardcore terrorists. Operation is in in progress,” the Indian Army posted on X.

On May 7, India had executed precision strikes on terror infrastructure in Pakistan and PoK, targeting LeT’s Markaz Taiba training centre in Muridke, during Operation Sindoor.

India has also warned that any terror attack will now be seen as an act of war and draw a tough response.

Meanwhile, the security agencies put up ‘Terror Free Kashmir’ posters of three Pakistan-backed terrorists—Adil Hussain Thoker, Ali Bhai and Hashim Musa— in Kashmir while announcing a reward of Rs 20 lakh for anyone with credible information about the trio.

They are believed to be responsible for the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack.

After Pahalgam attack, Jammu and Kashmir authorities had blown up the residence of Thoker in Bijbehara on April 25 using IEDs. Thoker is believed to have played a key role in helping Pakistani terrorists carry out the attack in the Baisaran Valley.

Thoker crossed the Attari-Wagah border into Pakistan in 2018 before infiltrating back into the Valley last year, several media reports claimed.
