Kendrapada: In a tragic incident, three school students were critically injured after the radiator of the van in which they were going, exploded in Marsaghai area in Odisha’s Kendrapada district on Wednesday.
According to reports, the children aged between five and seven years were returning home from school in a van when the mishap occurred.
The driver said he had noticed the radiator leaking and tried to stop the engine. He, along with students, were getting out of the vehicle when the radiator exploded, the driver said.
The hot water from the radiator spilled and splashed on the students, injuring them seriously. Some locals rescued the students and rushed them to a hospital in Marsaghai.
Block Education Officer said investigation will be conducted by Transport and Police officials to ascertain details of the vehicle.
