3 More Of Odisha’s Angul Succumb To COVID-19, Toll 7

Angul: With single day spike of 50 COVID-19 positive cases, the total number crossed 500 in the district while three succumbed to the disease on Sunday.

Of the new cases on the day, Banarpal block reported the highest 15, followed by Angul with 14, Talcher 10, Athamallick 7 and Kaniha block with four cases.

District collector Manoj Kumar Mohanty said all the three persons from the district died while undergoing treatment in hospitals in Bhubaneswar. While two of them belong to Talcher block, the third person is from Angul. With this, the death count has reached seven in the district.

As many as 17 patients recovered from the disease on the day, taking the total cases to 377 in the district.
