Two among them are from Raghunathpur village under Soro police limits and one from Machada village under Khaira police limits in Balasore district.
According to sources, the trio had decamped with gold and diamond ornaments worth Rs 1.5 crore from the house of the journalist, Sidharth Gautam Mohanty, at New Friends Colony in Delhi last month. One of the accused, Madan Mohan Das of Raghunathpur village, used to work in his house.
On the basis of a complaint lodged by the journalist, Delhi police arrived at Soro and nabbed the trio after a 13-day manhunt. They also seized Rs 4 lakh in cash and gold and diamond ornaments worth around Rs 78 lakh from them.
The accused had reportedly sold some of the stolen jewelleries to two persons at Nilagiri and Basudevpur, the sources added.
