Cuttack: Three new judges of Orissa High Court — Justices V. Narasingh, Biraja Prasanna Satapathy and Murahari Sri Raman — were administered the oath of office by Chief Justice S Muralidhar here on Monday.
The swearing-in ceremony was held at the conference hall of the High Court at around 9.30 am amid COVID protocols with a limited number of attendees.
Last month, the Supreme Court Collegium had accepted the proposal to elevate four advocates – V Narasingh, Sanjay Kumar Mishra, Biraja Prasanna Satapathy and Raman Murahari – as judges of Orissa High Court.
On February 10, President Ram Nath Koviind appointed V. Narasingh, Biraja Prasanna Satapathy and Murahari Sri Raman as Judges of the Orissa High Court.
With three new judges being sworn in, the number of Judges of the High Court has gone up to 21.
