Cuttack: Chief Justice S Muralidhar of Orissa High Court on Tuesday administered the oath of office to three newly-appointed judges – Justices Mruganka Sekhar Sahoo, Radha Krishna Pattanaik, and Sashikanta Mishra.
The swearing-in ceremony on High Court premises was attended by Law Minister Pratap Jena, senior judges, Advocate General Ashok Parija, Police DG Abhay and Police Commissioner Soumendra Priyadarshi, among others.
President Ram Nath Kovind in consultation with Chief Justice of India N V Ramana appointed them as Judges of the Orissa High Court on October 13.

On October 8, Justice Jaswant Singh of Punjab and Haryana High Court and Justice Arindam Sinha of Calcutta High Court were sworn in as the judges of the Orissa HC.
The Supreme Court Collegium had recommended the transfer of these two judges and Calcutta High Court Judge Justice Soumen Sen to Orissa HC on September 29.

With these appointments, the High Court here now has 16 judges, besides the Chief Justice, against the sanctioned strength of 27.
