Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off 10 new Vande Bharat Express which includes 3 trains running through Odisha, on September 15, the East Coast Railway informed on Tuesday.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi received an invitation from Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to join the event on Sunday.
ECoR General Manager Parameswar Funkwal called on Odisha CM and handed over the Railway Minister’s message and invitation.
Vaishnaw requested Majhi to join an event scheduled at Berhampur railway station to mark the occasion. The CM thanked the Railway Minister for the invite.
According to the ECoR, the new trains that will run through Odisha are: Tata-Berhampur, Rourkela-Howrah, and Durg-Visakhapatnam Vande Bharat Express.
Currently, 3 Vande Bharat trains are running through Odisha which will go up to 6, once the new ones are operational, the ECoR added.
