Bhubaneswar: Vigilance sleuths on Friday nabbed three state government officials while accepting bribe at different places in the state.
In one case, Surendra Sahu, additional programme officer in Naktideul block of Sambalpur district was caught red handed by the Vigilance officials while he was accepting bribe of Rs 4,000 from the complainant in connection with a canal work.
In the second case, Prakash Kumar Das, head clerk and Hari Hara Das of office of sub-registrar at Nimapara in Puri district had demanded Rs 20,000 as bribe from the complainant for registration of sale deed relating to purchase of land.
When the complainant was giving the bribe as per the plan of the Vigilance officials, the two officials were nabbed accepting the money red handed.
Bhubaneswar Vigilance has registered a case in this connection and further investigation is on.
