3 Of Family Killed As Bike Rams Cash Van In Odisha’s Keonjhar

Keonjhar: A couple and their son-in-law died after the motorcycle they were riding rammed a cash van near Padmapur Gate on the Anandpur-Karanjia road in Keonjhar district on Friday.

The deceased have been identified as Sahadev Behera (42), his wife Chandini Behera (38) and their son in-law Abhiram Behera (20) of Kalabila village under Ghasipura police limits in the district.

According to sources, the accident took place around noon when the three deceased were going to Panasadiha village from Anandpur and the cash van ahead of the bike suddenly slowed down while giving way to a truck coming from the opposite side. The trio fell off the the bike under the impact and sustained critical injuries. They were shifted to Anandpur sub-divisional hospital, where they were declared dead.

Police have seized the van and bike and started an investigation.
