3 Of Family Killed Over Property Dispute In Odisha’s Sambalpur

Sambalpur: Three persons of a family including two women were allegedly hacked to death by their neighbour in the district on Wednesday.

The deceased were identified as Saraswati Dehuri, Pirabati Dehuri and Giridhari Sahu of Lapada village under Mahulapali police limits. The bodies of Saraswati and Pirabati were found in a pool of blood near their house, while Saraswati’s son-in-law Giridhari was found dead in a farm land, police sources said.

Police suspect that the victims’ neighbour Naveen Dehuri murdered the three persons over property dispute.

Police have detained Naveen Dehuri and his son Pintu for questioning. Further investigation is on.
