Rourkela: Three persons died while 13 others were injured when a a pickup van carrying baraatis (groom party) overturned at Mundajor under Lathikata police limits in Odisha’s Sundargarh district on Thursday night.
According to sources, the accident took place when they were returning home in Jharkhand after attending the wedding at Lathikata. The driver is believed to have been over-speeding.
The injured were initially admitted to Rourkela Government Hospital (RGH) and three among them later shifted to a private hospital in Rourkela after their condition deteriorated.
The bodies are kept at RGH for postmortem, the sources added.
