Bhawanipatna: Panic spread in a village in Odisha’s Kalahandi district as three persons including a married woman, a minor boy and an old man, were found murdered on Sunday evening.
As per reports, the villagers of Shankarpalli under Junagarh police limits in the district spotted the three bodies while they were returning home from the crop fields after completing the day’s work at around 5.30 pm. They found deep injury marks on the bodies of all three persons and informed the police.
A team from Junagarh police station rushed to the village and seized the bodies. They identified the bodies and sent those for post-mortem. The deceased included the 35-year-old woman from the village, her 2-year-old son and her neighbour.
The police also found a sharp weapons from near the bodies and sent it for forensic test. The police have registered a case of unnatural death.
But the cause of the killing has not been confirmed. The woman was living alone with her son in her house as her husband has been in the jail for the last 9 years.
