Rourkela: Three persons including a minor boy reportedly went missing in Ib river in Odisha’s Sundargarh district on Saturday.
As per reports, the three persons, identified as Muhammad Sahid (35), Muhammad Rijwan (20) and Muhammad Farhan (15) of Regent Market in Sundargarh town, had gone to take bath in the river in the afternoon.
While they were bathing at Semina ghat of the river, they were suspected to have slipped into deep water due to a strong current and could not return to the banks.
On being informed, a team from Sundargarh Sadar police station along with Fire services personnel went to the spot. While police started investigation, the Fire personnel launched a search operation to trace the three missing persons.
