Jajpur: Three persons going on a motorcycle were killed as they crashed into a truck in Odisha’s Jajpur district on Saturday.
As per reports, the incident tool place when Chakradhar Saonia of Suanla village in Duburi and Anil Hansdah and Sunil Hansdah of Tangiriapala village in Jajpur were going towards Jajpur in the afternoon.
They hit a truck from behind near the main gate of Jindal Group’s plant in Kalinga Nagar. While Anil and Sunil died on the spot, Chakradhar sustained critical injuries in the mishap.
The locals rushed him to a Community Health Centre (CHC) at Danagadi. But he was declared brought dead in the hospital.
Following the accident, the locals gathered at the accident spot and stopped other vehicles. Alleging that several accidents had been reported on the stretch in recent times, they demanded remedial measures in this regard.
On being informed, a team from Kalinga Nagar police station went to the spot and sent the bodies for post-mortem. They also pacified the agitated locals by assuring them of looking into their demands.
