Rourkela: Three suspected members of People’s Liberation Front of India (PLFI) were killed while two others sustained injuries during an exchange of fire between security personnel and the ultras at Kulatapu forest along Odisha-Jharkhand border on Sunday.
Those injured were identified as the PLFI chief Dinesh Gope and one of his accomplices. However, they managed to escape during the combing operation carried out by Jharkhand police and CRPF personnel. Efforts are on to nab them, police sources informed.
Following the encounter, police seized an AK-47, one LNG rifle and a Carbine gun.
