Bhawanipatna: Three poachers were arrested after being caught red-handed while setting fire to Karlapat Sanctuary Of Odisha’s Kalahandi.
Sharing the information on X, Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (PCCF) Wildlife (WL) and Chief Wildlife Warden (CWLW), Odisha Susanta Nanda informed that two country-made rifles were also seized from the three poachers.
“Three Poachers trying to lit up fire in Karlapat sanctuary were arrested and two country rifles were seized yesterday night in Kalahandi district,” he wrote.
It may be mentioned that more than 4,000 fire points have been detected in the last seven days by the Forest Survey of India (FSI).
