Cuttack: Three revenue officials have been suspended in Odisha’s Cuttack district for alleged negligence, dereliction of duty and indiscipline.
Cuttack Collector Dattatraya Bhausaheb Shinde has placed the three officials under suspension on charges of negligence in discharge of revenue duties, particu
larly for serious lapses in Column-2 amendment work.
Sources said the action has been taken in accordance with the provisions of Odisha Civil Services Rules-1962, said the administration.
The suspended officials are Revenue Inspector Suchandra Mohanty of Gati Raut Patana RI Circle under Cuttack Sadar Tehsil, Revenue Inspector Anuradha Sahu of Jodamu RI Circle under Baramba Tehsil, and Revenue Supervisor Shubhashree Shubhasmita Mohanty, who was in charge of Jagannathpur RI Circle under Tangi-Chowdwar Tehsil.
During the suspension period, the officials have been directed not to leave their headquarters without prior permission from the competent authority concerned. They will receive subsistence allowance at the prescribed rate in accordance with Rule-90 of the Odisha Service Code during the period of suspension.
The Collector has further directed that the related departmental proceedings in the matter be completed within six months.
