Bhubaneswar: Chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday assigned three senior IAS officers the task of assessing damage in three flood-hit districts of the state.
Home secretary Asit Tripathy will tour Rayagada district, while development commissioner and additional chief secretary R Balakrishnan will assess damage caused by flood in Jajpur district. Similarly, additional chief secretary, Forest & Environment, Suresh Chandra Mohapatra will conduct damage assessment in Bhadrak district, official sources said.
The three officers will visit the flood-affected districts on Thursday and submit their detailed reports to the chief minister for further action.
