Phulbani: Three students were seriously injured when an explosion took place at a private English medium school in Baliguda area of Odisha’s Kandhamal district on Wednesday.
Sources said the incident took place during lunch break at the school located in Rutungia under Baliguda area when the students were reportedly examining an unidentified object brought by one of them.
The three sustained critical injuries as the unknown object suddenly exploded, triggering panic among students on the school premises.
The children were immediately rushed to a hospital in Baliguda and later shifted to the district headquarters hospital in Phulbani.
