Balasore: A three-year-old boy went missing under mysterious circumstances while playing near his house at a village in Soro area of Odisha’s Balasore district.
As per initial reports, the incident took place at Raipur village under the jurisdiction of Soro police station in the district on Monday.
The boy, identified as Subham, son of Mohan Sahu of the village, reportedly disappeared while playing near his house. After he went missing, his parents and villagers carried out searches at various places, but were unable to trace the child.
On being informed, police and fire services personnel launched a search operation. Till last reports came in, the child was yet to be located.
His family members have lodged a complaint with the police alleging that he might have been kidnapped.
Stating that the search operation is underway, police said sniffer dog has led them to a pond and railway station. Police have also contacted the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and sought their assistance in locating the child in case he boarded a train with someone.
