Bargarh: Around 30 people were injured, 10 of them critically, when a van carrying them overturned in Bhatli area of Odisha’s Bargarh district on Monday.
The mishap took place at Pipalmunda Chhak under the jurisdiction of Bhatli police station in the district when members of a ‘Kirtan’ group were travelling in the van to perform at a village in Chhattisgarh, sources said.
As the vehicle skidded off the road after losing balance and overturned, 30 persons sustained injuries.
The injured persons were rescued by locals and police personnel. The injured were rushed to the district headquarters hospital (DHH) at Bargarh where the condition of ten persons was stated to be critical.
