Khurda: At least 30 members of a picnic party were injured, two of them seriously, when a speeding truck collided head-on with the bus in which they were travelling, near a toll gate at Godipada in Khurda late on Saturday night.
According to reports, a private bus carrying a picnic party from Bhadrak to Tara Tarini temple in Ganjam when it was hit by a speeding truck near the toll gate in Khurda.
Following the incident, the toll gate staff and the locals admitted the injured to the Khurda district headquarters hospital.
However, two women members of the party, whose legs were fractured in the mishap, were shifted to the Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar.
Meanwhile, Jankia police have seized two vehicles and begun investigation.
