30 Students COVID Positive In Karnataka’s Medical College

Bengaluru:  Thirty students have tested COVID positive at Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College in Kolar in the last four days, making it a COVID cluster.

All infected students have been admitted to a hospital and are stable, reported NDTV adding that none of those who tested positive in the cluster has a travel history. Samples of all positive patients have been sent for genome sequencing.

  • 7,251 active COVID cases
  • 15,588 passengers arrived in the state from countries that were designated “at-risk” after the outbreak of Omicron.
  • The Karnataka government banned parties and mass gatherings from December 30 to January 2.
