Bhubaneswar: In another incident of loot in the capital city, a man fled with Rs 1 lakh cash from a furniture showroom Tankapani Road here on Thursday.
The shop owner stated in his complaint that a man entered the shop as a customer and inquired about some furniture. The main owner asked the customer to wait outside for some time, but he entered the shop and sat in a chair opposite the counter.
In the absence of anyone around, he opened the drawer and picked up a bundle of currency notes from it and fled.
He has lodged a complaint with local police. The owner noticed the customer leaving the shop in a hurry and tried to stop but he fled from the scene on a motorcycle.
Police have reached the spot and are investigating into the case.
