Bhubaneswar: The number of COVID-19 patients due to local contacts continued to rise in Bhubaneswar which reported 319 positive cases on Saturday.
Of the new cases, 257 (80.5 %) are local contacts while remaining 62 have been detected in different quarantines. In the local contacts, highest 16 cases been detected from Nayapalli area, according to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).
With the day’s addition, the total COVID-19 positive cases went up to 20,538, which include 3574 active cases. While 353 patients have recovered from the disease in the city taking the total count to 16,864, the disease has claimed 84 lives so far.
