Bhubaneswar: Odisha government on Wednesday approved recruitment into 323 vacant posts in the state police.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has directed the staff selection commission to start the recruitment process against these vacant posts immediately.
Of these posts, 92 positions are sub-inspectors and 231 police motor transport drivers, a statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) said.
Out of the total 184 vacant posts, 92 posts would be filled up on promotion basis while remaining 92 posts will be filed up through direct recruitment process, the statement added.
